Terms of Use
Clear expectations help create a respectful, supportive experience.
Last updated: August 26, 2026
These Empress Cosmic Care Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Empress Cosmic Care website and your interactions with offerings provided by Empress Cosmic Care and Kristi Stephenson, as applicable.
Please read these Terms carefully before using the website, booking an appointment, purchasing an offering, or registering for a class or program.
-
Agreement to These Terms
By accessing the website, submitting a form, booking or receiving a service, making a purchase, or registering for an offering, you acknowledge that you have read and agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree, do not use the website or proceed with a transaction governed by these Terms.
The Privacy Policy is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
A particular appointment, class, certification program, event, product, registration platform, or third-party provider may present additional terms. Those specific terms also apply to that offering. If they conflict with these general Terms, the more specific terms control for that offering unless applicable law requires otherwise.
-
Nature of Empress Cosmic Care Offerings
Empress Cosmic Care provides holistic wellness, educational, intuitive, and spiritually oriented offerings. Depending on current availability, these may include:
- Foot zoning;
- Reiki;
- Astrology;
- Integrative Processing Technique, or IPT;
- Energy-based or reflective practices;
- Classes and educational programs;
- Practitioner training;
- Educational materials;
- Custom wellness products; and
- Related offerings described at the time of booking, purchase, or registration.
Descriptions on the website explain the philosophy, framework, or intended experience of an offering. References to energy, zones, correspondence, balance, release, alignment, healing, or similar concepts describe holistic-modality language or subjective wellness experiences. They do not mean that Empress Cosmic Care is diagnosing a condition or promising a medically proven outcome.
Offerings, locations, schedules, instructors, prices, and availability may change.
-
Not Medical or Mental-Health Care
Unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement, Empress Cosmic Care does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial, or emergency services.
Empress Cosmic Care offerings and website content are not intended to:
- Diagnose any disease, disorder, injury, or medical condition;
- Treat, cure, reverse, or prevent disease;
- Prescribe medication or medical treatment;
- Replace care from a licensed medical or mental-health professional; or
- Provide emergency or crisis intervention.
Do not disregard, postpone, or stop professional care because of information on the website or an experience with a holistic service.
Questions about a medical or mental-health condition should be directed to an appropriately licensed professional.
For a medical emergency, call 911. For immediate mental-health or suicide-crisis support in the United States, call or text 988.
-
Personal Responsibility and No Guaranteed Results
Participation in any service or offering is voluntary.
You remain responsible for your own:
- Decisions;
- Health and well-being;
- Personal boundaries;
- Use of information;
- Follow-up care; and
- Choice to participate, continue, pause, or stop.
Experiences and outcomes vary from person to person. Empress Cosmic Care does not guarantee:
- A particular physical, emotional, energetic, spiritual, educational, financial, or professional result;
- Relief from a symptom or concern;
- A particular interpretation or insight;
- Business success, income, employment, or clientele;
- Eligibility for a license, permit, association, insurer, or professional opportunity; or
- That an offering will meet every personal expectation.
Testimonials and personal stories describe individual experiences. They are not promises that another person will have the same experience.
-
Consent, Comfort, and Boundaries
For an in-person or touch-based service, consent is ongoing and may be withdrawn at any time.
Please communicate any preference, boundary, sensitivity, comfort concern, or other information you believe is relevant to your experience. Tell Kristi promptly if pressure, positioning, fragrance, touch, conversation, or another part of a service becomes uncomfortable.
You may ask a question, request an adjustment, pause, or end a service at any time.
Empress Cosmic Care may pause, modify, decline, or end an offering when reasonably necessary for safety, comfort, scope, ethical boundaries, or another legitimate business reason.
-
Eligibility and Minors
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter an agreement to book or purchase on your own behalf.
A parent or legal guardian may inquire about an offering for a minor. Services for minors, if accepted, require prior approval and appropriate parental or guardian involvement and consent.
By booking or registering for another person, you represent that you have authority to act for that person and provide the information submitted.
The website is not intended for children under 13 to use independently.
-
Booking and Accurate Information
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when booking, purchasing, registering, or submitting a form.
An appointment or enrollment is not guaranteed until it has been accepted or confirmed through the applicable booking or registration process.
You are responsible for reviewing:
- The selected service or offering;
- Date, time, time zone, and location;
- Price and payment requirements;
- Preparation instructions;
- Cancellation and refund terms;
- Any separate program or provider terms; and
- Messages sent to the contact information you supplied.
Empress Cosmic Care is not responsible for a missed appointment or notice caused by inaccurate contact information, blocked messages, a full inbox, device settings, or failure to review a confirmation.
-
Payments
Payments may be processed through a third-party scheduling, payment, or registration provider.
By submitting a payment, you represent that:
- You are authorized to use the selected payment method;
- The billing information is accurate;
- You authorize the stated charge; and
- You agree to the payment provider’s applicable terms.
Prices and payment requirements are those displayed or communicated for the specific offering at the time of the transaction.
A deposit, registration charge, textbook charge, material fee, or other amount will be treated as nonrefundable only when that condition is clearly disclosed for the specific offering or is otherwise permitted by law.
-
Appointment Cancellation and Rescheduling
For ordinary one-on-one appointments, cancellation or rescheduling requests must be received at least 72 hours before the scheduled appointment time.
An appointment cancelled, rescheduled, or missed within the 72-hour window is treated as a no-show and is not eligible for a refund or rescheduling.
Genuine emergencies may be considered with compassion and on a case-by-case basis. An exception is not guaranteed.
A cancellation or rescheduling request should be submitted through the method identified on the Book Appointment page or in the appointment confirmation.
Classes, certification programs, events, packages, products, deposits, registration charges, textbook charges, or other offerings may have separate cancellation, transfer, attendance, and refund terms. The specific terms presented for that offering control.
Nothing in this section eliminates a refund or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived.
-
Classes, Certification Programs, and Practitioner Education
A class or certification program may be administered, registered, supported, or credentialed through another organization or platform.
You are responsible for reviewing all program-specific information, including:
- Curriculum;
- Dates and attendance requirements;
- Practice or homework requirements;
- Fees and payment schedules;
- Books, materials, and supplies;
- Testing or completion standards;
- Refund and transfer terms;
- Certification or association requirements; and
- Any separate enrollment agreement.
Completion of a program or receipt of a certificate does not guarantee:
- Government licensure;
- Legal authorization to practice in every location;
- Eligibility for insurance;
- Membership in a professional organization;
- Employment;
- Business income; or
- Acceptance of the credential by a particular third party.
Students and graduates are responsible for understanding and following the laws, regulations, insurance requirements, professional standards, and scope-of-practice rules that apply where they intend to work.
-
Products and Educational Materials
If physical products, essential-oil products, books, handouts, recordings, charts, or other materials are offered, additional product-specific instructions or purchase terms may apply.
Educational materials are provided for personal learning unless another use is expressly authorized in writing.
Review ingredients, directions, warnings, and storage instructions before using a physical product. Do not use a product you know contains an ingredient to which you are sensitive. Discontinue use and seek appropriate assistance if an adverse reaction occurs.
Products and materials are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.
-
Respectful Conduct
Empress Cosmic Care is committed to maintaining a respectful and supportive environment.
Harassment, discrimination, threats, intimidation, sexual misconduct, abusive communication, deliberate disruption, property damage, unlawful activity, or repeated boundary violations are prohibited.
A service, class, or interaction may be declined or ended for legitimate reasons such as:
- Safety concerns;
- Intoxication or impairment;
- Abusive or disruptive behavior;
- Inappropriate or sexual conduct;
- Nonpayment;
- Repeated policy violations;
- Conduct outside the scope of the offering; or
- Failure to respect boundaries.
A service will not be refused for a reason prohibited by applicable law.
When an interaction is ended because of serious misconduct or a material policy violation, a refund may be denied to the extent permitted by law and the specific offering’s terms.
-
Website Use
You may use the website for lawful, personal, and noncommercial purposes consistent with these Terms.
You may not:
- Use the website for unlawful, fraudulent, abusive, or deceptive purposes;
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website or another system;
- Introduce malware, harmful code, or automated attacks;
- Interfere with website operation or security;
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your authority;
- Harvest personal information;
- Circumvent access, payment, registration, or security controls;
- Copy or scrape substantial website content for commercial use;
- Use website materials to create a competing product or service without permission;
- Violate intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights; or
- Encourage another person to do any of these things.
-
Intellectual Property
Website content and materials—including text, graphics, photographs, logos, service descriptions, course materials, charts, downloads, recordings, designs, and other creative content—are owned by or licensed to Empress Cosmic Care unless otherwise stated.
You receive a limited, revocable, nonexclusive right to access website content for your personal, lawful, noncommercial use.
Without prior written permission, you may not reproduce, republish, distribute, sell, sublicense, publicly display, modify, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit protected content, except as allowed by law.
“Empress Cosmic Care,” associated logos, and other brand identifiers may not be used in a manner that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, affiliation, or ownership without permission.
-
Information and Content You Submit
You retain ownership of original content you submit.
By submitting information, you authorize Empress Cosmic Care to use it only as reasonably necessary to:
- Respond to you;
- Process a booking, purchase, or registration;
- Provide the requested offering;
- Maintain appropriate records;
- Address a concern or dispute; or
- Complete another use you specifically approve.
Do not submit content you do not have the right to provide.
An identifiable testimonial, client story, photograph, audio recording, or video will not be used in public marketing without permission for that use.
-
Third-Party Services and Links
The website and Empress Cosmic Care offerings may rely on or link to third-party services, including scheduling, payment, registration, maps, reCAPTCHA, social media, video, email, hosting, or certification platforms.
Those services are independently operated and may have their own:
- Terms;
- Privacy policies;
- Fees;
- Availability;
- Security practices;
- Refund rules; and
- Technical requirements.
Empress Cosmic Care does not control and is not responsible for a third party’s independent content, acts, omissions, availability, security, or policies.
A link or integration does not necessarily mean that Empress Cosmic Care owns, controls, or endorses every aspect of that provider.
-
Privacy and Confidentiality
Personal information is handled according to the Empress Cosmic Care Privacy Policy.
Empress Cosmic Care treats client communications and session information with discretion. However, electronic communications and third-party systems cannot be guaranteed to be completely secure or confidential.
Information may be disclosed when authorized by you, reasonably necessary to provide an offering, required by law or legal process, necessary to address a serious safety concern, or needed to protect legal rights.
Merely visiting the website or sending a general inquiry does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client, attorney-client, fiduciary, or other licensed professional relationship.
-
Website and Information Disclaimer
The website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Empress Cosmic Care does not warrant that:
- The website will always be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
- Every page or statement will always be current;
- A third-party feature will always be available;
- All errors will be corrected immediately; or
- Website information is appropriate for every person or circumstance.
Website content is general information and should not be relied upon as individualized medical, mental-health, legal, financial, or other licensed professional advice.
-
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Empress Cosmic Care and Kristi Stephenson will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from or related to:
- Use of or inability to use the website;
- Reliance on website content;
- A third-party service or platform;
- Loss of data or communications;
- A personal decision made after a service or educational offering; or
- An outcome that was not guaranteed.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, total liability for a direct claim arising from a specific paid offering will not exceed the amount actually paid to Empress Cosmic Care for the offering giving rise to the claim.
This section does not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability arising from gross negligence, willful misconduct, or another obligation that applicable law makes nonwaivable.
-
Responsibility for Misuse
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for losses, liabilities, or third-party claims caused by:
- Your unlawful misuse of the website;
- Your material violation of these Terms;
- Content you submit without the right to do so; or
- Your violation of another person’s legal rights.
This provision does not require you to accept responsibility for conduct caused by Empress Cosmic Care’s own unlawful acts, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.
-
Events Outside Reasonable Control
Empress Cosmic Care is not responsible for a delay, interruption, relocation, or cancellation caused by events outside reasonable control, such as severe weather, illness, emergency, natural disaster, utility failure, internet outage, venue closure, government action, transportation disruption, or third-party platform failure.
When such an event affects an offering, Empress Cosmic Care will communicate available options as reasonably practical and will follow any applicable offering-specific terms and nonwaivable legal obligations.
-
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where another jurisdiction’s mandatory law applies.
Before filing a formal claim, you and Empress Cosmic Care agree to make a good-faith effort to resolve the concern through direct communication.
Unless applicable law requires otherwise, a legal action relating to these Terms or an Empress Cosmic Care offering must be brought in a court with jurisdiction in Utah County, Utah.
Nothing in these Terms waives a consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be waived where you live.
-
General Provisions
Entire Agreement
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any applicable offering-specific terms form the agreement governing the relevant interaction.
Severability
If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect, and the affected provision will be interpreted as closely as legally possible to its intended purpose.
No Waiver
A delay or failure to enforce a provision does not waive the right to enforce it later.
Assignment
You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without written permission. Empress Cosmic Care may transfer these Terms as part of a lawful business reorganization, sale, or transfer.
Headings
Section headings are included for readability and do not limit the meaning of a provision.
-
Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated when the website, offerings, policies, providers, or legal requirements change.
The revised Terms will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
Changes apply prospectively from the stated effective date unless applicable law or a separate agreement provides otherwise. A material change will not retroactively remove a right that cannot legally be waived.
